WA: Career access site proves popular
PERTH, Aug 20 AAP - More than one million people have visited a Western Australian
career information service on the Internet since it was launched five months ago.
Since the site was launched in March, it has averaged more than 50,000 hits a week,
said WA Minister for Employment and Training, Mike Board today.
GetAccess, designed by the Department of Training and Employment, provided information
to job seekers, career and employment professionals and parents.
The job search material came from a section linked to private and public employment
agencies, he said.
It featured 150 career information profiles and would expand to include 300 profiles
within the next 12 months.
