Qld: MP sex expose offer
The sex lives of Queensland MPs may be targeted by a peepshow operator who plans tooffer a $100,000 reward for information.
Proprietor of Brisbane adult entertainment venue The Peep, JAN RENE DE SMET, was lastweek acquitted in court of allowing indecent sex acts.
Mr DE SMET, manager STEVEN JOHN HEWITT and dancer RENEE JODY INNIS were on trial fortheir roles in some performances.
The court decision has prompted the government to examine law changes banning explicit shows.
Mr DE SMET says if the changes were to go ahead he'd consider placing newspaper advertisementsoffering up to $100,000 for information on the sex lives of Queensland state MPs.
Queensland Premier PETER BEATTIE says he's prepared to tighten the laws, particularlyif loopholes are being used to circumvent prostitution laws.
And he says he doesn't support the private lives of any individuals being exposed forwhat he describes as crude purposes.
Mr BEATTIE also says Mr DE SMET would be boringly disappointed in MPs' sex lives.
