Qld: Lib MPs remain locked in leadership talks

Queensland Liberal MPs remain locked in talks to find a new leader .. and could continue
their debate tomorrow.

The eight-member team has been meeting at a Brisbane hotel since 10 o'clock (AEST)
this morning .. to thrash out who'll replace BRUCE FLEGG in the leadership.

Dr FLEGG's understood to have stood aside this morning .. following a challenge from
first-time MP TIM NICHOLLS.

He's proposed Gold Coast MP JOHN-PAUL LANGBROEK as his deputy .. to replace MARK MCARDLE.

A spokesman for Dr FLEGG says a decision will be quite some time .. and discussions
could resume tomorrow.
